	AIM-4 Interface Module-for 4 dours Reader ● The AIM-4 provides a complete 4-door reader interface for access control. It interfaces to the AAM-16/20/80 access/alarm controllers and AP-550 master card reader, using the factory's proprietary 2-wire or 4-wire RS-485 communications protocol. Up to 4 AIM-4 interface modules may be connected to each device port of the AAM-20/80 or AAM-32/100. ● The AIM-4 interfaces to 4 card readers, 4 keypads, or 4 card readers with keypad. It monitors door position, exit push button, auxiliary alarm input, and Wiegand input (Data 0, Data 1) from each door reader. It controls all 4 electric strikes and provides 4 auxiliary outputs. This totals 12 inputs and 8 outputs. ● The following card reader technologies are supported by the AIM-4: * magnetic stripe (swipe or insert), Wiegand, proximity cards, proximity vehicle tags, biometric devices, bar code, infrared and long range infrared. * Each AIM-4 provides a unique device address and can be multi-dropped with other AIM-4s on the 2-wire or 4 wire RS-485 communications line. The AIM-4 operates from regulated +12 to 24 Vdc or 18 Vac. Quick disconnect connectors provide easy installation and support. ● The AIM-4 supports AP-400, AP-501 and AP-502 card readers and the AP-410 keypad. In addition, the AP-400 reader and AP-410 keypad can be connected together to form an integrated keypad reader that occupies only one of the 4 door interface inputs (keypad does not require additional input). 	AIM-4SL Downloadable 4 Door Reader Interface Module The AIM-4SL represents a new breakthrough in reader interface technology for access control systems. The AIM-4 SL is a complete 4 door reader interface with downloadable database at every door. It interfaces to the AAM-20/80 and AAN-100 access controllers via Apollo’s proprietary 2 or 4 wire RS-485 communication protocol. Up to 8 AIM-4SL can be connected to each device port of the AAM-80 and AAN-100 while the AAM-20 supports up to 4. It provides a special on board capacitor for memory backup eradicating the need to replace a worn battery. A real-time clock provides time and date stamped event logs even in an off-line situation. The AIM-4SL can store up to 20,000 cardholders and up to 7000 events in its memory.
